Carl Witonsky was a guest panelist and speaker at the Villanova University M&A Society gathering of over 125 students, earlier this month at Driscoll Hall. The program, titled “Investing in Healthcare”, organized by Nick LaTorre, President of the M&A Society, and moderated by faculty member, Dr. Gerard Olson, focused on the different approaches Investment Banking, Venture Capital, and Private Equity firms take in valuation strategies and business development. In addition, The Affordable Care Act was discussed and how it became a major influence on investments in software and services to meet ICD-10 and Meaningful Use mandates. Other panelists included Brenda Gavin, Quaker BioVentures, Brian Murphy, NewSpring Capital, and Martin Lehr, Osage University Partners.
