WAYNE, PENNSYLVANIA – December 29, 2017: Falcon Capital Partners, a leading middle-market investment bank, announced today the successful sale of Comview Corporation (Comview) to Calero Software, LLC (Calero), a portfolio investment of Riverside Partners (Riverside).
Comview, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Huntington Station, New York, provides telecom expense management (TEM), call accounting, and wireless mobility management (WMM) solutions. Its cloud-based software, backed by expert managed services, enables organizations to easily manage everything from a single intuitive interface, including Invoice Management, Wireless Management (with BYOD and MDM integration), Audit & Optimization, Call Accounting, IT Asset Management, Procurement and more.
Calero, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading provider of Communications Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions designed to turn communication data into actionable insight by simplifying the management of voice, mobile, and other unified communications services and assets. The acquisition of Comview was part of a strategic initiative to expand its robust communication lifecycle management offerings. Calero was acquired in September 2017 by Riverside Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm investing in growing middle market healthcare and technology oriented companies. Steven F. Kaplan, a General Partner at Riverside Partners and Chairman of the Board of Calero added, “We invested in Calero, alongside the management team, less than four months ago to support the Company’s continued growth as the leading provider in the market. In addition to supporting Calero’s tremendous organic growth potential we are committed to making smart, strategic acquisitions to help accelerate Calero’s growth and to greatly enhance the breadth and depth of services Calero offers its customers around the world. Comview is a very complementary business with a tremendous alignment of values, particularly as it relates to providing the highest quality customer service in the market.”
Falcon Capital Partners served as exclusive financial advisor to Comview. “When searching for representation, Falcon was the only banker who thought we were worth even more than I expected. And they delivered!” writes John Perri, Founder and CEO of Comview. “Their process is well established and organized, which ultimately led to the successful transaction. They were also an extremely valuable resource throughout the process. As I founded Comview more than 20 years ago, I wanted to ensure we found the right partner for its future success, and I’m happy we chose Falcon to get us there. They did what they said they were going to do and exceeded my expectations.”
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The Calero press release can be found on their website here.
The Falcon deal team was led by Managing Director Mark Gaeto and Vice President Rob Jennings.
