Ryan Hummel is a seasoned Technology and M&A executive with 25+ years of experience leading digital transformation, IT strategy, and business integrations. He specializes in guiding companies with value creation opportunities through M&A transactions and technology transformations. Ryan works on both the sell-side and buy-side, where he aligns with stakeholders to undercover value and ensure long-term success.

Previously, Ryan served as CIO at Planet Payment (NYSE: PLPM, now privately owned), a global fintech firm, where he led technology and security initiatives across digital payments, foreign exchange, and compliance. His expertise spans enterprise IT leadership, cybersecurity, and global-scale technology operations, supporting business transactions exceeding $2 billion.

Ryan sits (or has sat) on several public and private boards and served as a strategic advisor for various groups, including PLPM, PLPM Shanghai, Drexel EMBA Association, Drexel Department of Management, Volunteer Center of South Jersey and several private firms.

Ryan holds a B.S. in Business Administration & IT and an Executive MBA from Drexel University, where he is also an Adjunct Professor in Org Behavior and Leadership. He serves as a board member of the EMBA Alumni Association and is passionate about aligning technology with business growth.

Ryan loves spending time with his wife, 2 children and his extended family (he has 6 siblings). He is a dedicated Philly sports fan and enjoys trying to improve his golf game, workout/run, cook and travel.
